EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Felix Vikhman is a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. He has been practicing psychotherapy and addictions counselling since 2008 and has been in private practice since 2012. He holds a Master's degree in Mental Health Counselling from Seton Hall University. He is the former Clinical Director of The Recovery Place, a sober-home environment, and a counsellor at The Renascent Foundation, a residential substance abuse treatment centre. Since 2009, he has been facilitating a group for family members of those with addiction issues at JACS (Jewish Addiction Community Services).

ABOUT ME

PERSONAL HISTORY

Felix Vikhman has been sober from all illicit drugs and alcohol since January 2006. His own struggle with substance abuse and subsequent recovery remain the touchstone of his therapeutic outlook. Today he works with a diverse population, much of it outside the realm of addiction. His personal experiences serve as a model for change, evident in his empathy and compassion for all his clients. 

 

Before becoming an addictions counsellor and psychotherapist, Felix was an accomplished journalist who worked for the National Post and CTV News. He also wrote for numerous publications including The Globe and Mail and Toronto Life
